By Climate Tracker Asia Team

Climate Tracker Asia is opening applications for the NextGen Climate Bootcamp 2026: Voices of Philippine Youth.

This is not just another fellowship.

Selected participants will become the first cohort to use ClimUp, a new mobile learning platform designed to make climate education clear, practical, and grounded in real life.

Before it opens to the public, a small group of fellows will test the app, shape the experience, and help refine how climate is taught.

Over eight weeks, fellows will go through a structured learning journey that combines:

  • Guided modules on climate science, energy transition, and solutions
  • Weekly mentorship sessions with journalists and experts
  • Practical storytelling exercises rooted in local realities

The program is designed for young Filipinos who want to move beyond awareness and start making sense of what climate change means in their communities.

At the end of the Bootcamp, participants will produce reflection pieces based on their learning and lived experiences. Selected fellows may also be invited to pitch full stories for publication on Climate Tracker Asia platforms.

More than training, the Bootcamp is a starting point. It builds a new generation of storytellers and helps shape a platform that aims to make climate learning more accessible across the region.

Who should apply:

  • Students and campus journalists
  • Content creators and storytellers
  • Youth advocates and communicators
  • Anyone curious about climate and how to talk about it better

Program Details:

  • Application Deadline: May 22, 2026
  • Program Duration: 8 weeks
  • Format: Online

ClimUp will open to the public later this year. This Bootcamp is your chance to be part of it before anyone else.
