Prof. Dr. Iskhaq Iskandar holds both a doctoral (2007) and master degree (2004) in Physical Oceanography from The University of Tokyo, Japan. He was also an awardee of Monbukagakusho Scholarships.
His research interests and experience span a wide range of topics from physical oceanography to ocean climate and marine ecosystems, using the combination of a numerical model of the ocean circulation (and ecosystems) and in-situ and satellite observations for many of his works.
Prof. Dr. Iskhaq Iskandar has contributed to both the Intergovernmental Panel for Climate Change (IPCC) and Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO. He has also written numerous publications and is currently a member of Indonesian Academy of Sciences in Food and Nutrition group (AIPI-AIPG).
